We have already covered 2 topics!
The first one was The BFG, Roald Dahl's creation. We found out lots of things about Roald Dahl; did you know he was born in Llandaff, Cardiff? We discovered this interesting fact about him when we were doing research for our biographies.
The second topic was The Tudors: Terrible or Terrific? Again, we did research for our biographies of Henry VIII; did you know that he killed 70,000 people during his reign? We have made Tudor roses (white and red, the two colours for the houses of York and Lancaster); we made Jumbles, which are Tudor biscuits, and we also tried our hand at copying portraits of Henry, Anne Boleyn and Elizabeth I.
Everyone knows that Henry VIII had six wives, but if you don't know what happened to them, here's a rhyme to help you remember: divorced, beheaded, died; divorced, beheaded, survived. His last wife, Catherine Parr must have breathed a sigh of relief when Henry died!
