Welcome to the Autumn Term of the 2015/16 school year. We hope you all had a lovely summer holiday and managed to make the most of the little bits of warm, dry weather we had. Our children are all settling back nicely in to school routine and our new Reception children are getting used to their new routine. Just a reminder that if you have any concerns at all regarding school and your child, please speak to a staff member.
Could you please make sure we have an up to date contact number for you, or another family member if you are not available, in case there are any issues such as accidents or illness with your child whilst they are here with us in school.
Our website calendar (in the parents section) has been updated with all the lovely things we've got in our school diary for this term. This section will be updated regularly with lots of new things too so remember to keep checking back, in case you miss any letters or forget a time/date. The term dates with all the school holidays for this year is located in the About Us section. Please check this before booking any family holidays etc. as they are no longer authorised during term time and you may get fined.
If your child is ill and unable to attend school please let us know as soon as possible on the morning of their absence. There is a dedicated absence line where you can leave a message even if no one is available to take your call.
Children in Foundation Phase (Reception, Year 1 and Year 2) get free milk each day. Key Stage 2 children (Years 3 - 6) are required to pay £1 per week if they'd like milk. This must be ordered and paid for on a Monday.
Children are required to pay £1 per week if they wish to purchase snack, from a range of fruit.
Please pay your milk/snack money to your child's teacher on a Monday or send them in with their money in a labelled bag/envelope.
We do advise that any and all items of clothing that come to school with your child are clearly labelled with their name. Children do leave things like coats and jumpers lying around and things do get muddled up when you've got 30 children getting changed for P.E. We do appreciate that these items cost you money but it's near impossible to find the owners of 15 jumpers at a time if they've got no name in them.
If you have any questions or suggestions, please speak to a member of staff.
