4 week arts and crafts sessions for families. Thursdays after school, 3pm - 4.30pm, starting 19th November.
Each week will feature a 'science' messy/craft, a 'food' activity and 2 more traditional art and craft activities.
Speak to Ceri-Ann, our Family Link Worker, if you'd like to join us.
Week 1.
Frozen hands - How are they affected by cold water, hot water and salt. Which will melt the fastest?
Salt dough Christmas tree decorations - make your own salt dough, and use cutters to make ornaments for your tree or to give as gifts.
Gift tags - make your own Christmas gift tags using wiggly scissors and recycled Christmas cards.
Reindeer food - make your own reindeer food ready to feed Rudolph on Christmas Eve, using porridge oats and lots of sparklies.
Week 2.
Fake snow - can you mix shaving foam and baking powder to make 'snow'? What can you build with your snow?
Salt dough decorations - requests from the previous week to do this activity again :-)
Reindeer poop - a cheeky, fun Christmas gift for the children to make using chocolate raisins.
Wrapping paper - make your own wrapping paper to wrap up the lovely gifts we make each week. Using potatoes to do printing with paint.
